Fellow members of the Lions Family:

        Congratulations and many thanks for becoming an important part of the District A-2 Cabinet for 2008-2009. I look forward to working with each and every one of you so that we can improve our district and Lions International.

I hope that many of you will view this year as a learning year and will continue to serve for the betterment of mankind. If you haven’t already thought about signing up for the Canada USA forum this year being held in Saskatoon, it is not too late. It is truly an awesome event. If you cannot attend this year consider it in the future. If interested see me.

 For the first full cabinet meeting I would like each cabinet chair to prepare a one or two page summary of their departments to be put on the website. If there are any awards available in your section have them ready for inclusion in the website.  Some committees have co-chairs so only one report needs to be prepared for the website. The first full cabinet meeting will be held on Sunday August 17 and more information will follow. While I know that you are volunteers I do expect you at cabinet meetings and if you cannot attend then a report is necessary in triplicate.

 Please help me to publicize the A-2 20-N Picnic. Be sure your clubs know and if you have a twin club in the states be sure they are represented. This could be a lot of fun as we party with our American Lions friends.

 If I can be of any assistance please do not hesitate to call. I probably won’t know the answer but I will know who to ask.
