March Message

March already!

Even though we may have some wintry weather the month of March, we know that

Spring is just around the corner. It's also a time of renewal and planning ahead in our District and Clubs.

Most Clubs are now busy with Nominations for Club Officers. By April, Club Elections will take place so that Lions Clubs International and the District can be informed via PU101s, in April, who next year's Officers will be, in time for publication in the Directories.

Conventions are springing up like flowers: Our Friendship Convention, by all reports, one of the very best, is the end of this month, March 26, 27, 28th. Hope you'll be able to attend. Every day has something special going on- from skits, Hospitality rooms, Cabinet business, Lunches, Dinners, to the Sunday's Voting, Youth Breakfast and Contest winners.

Information's out for MDA's Convention, "Sparkling Waters" in Kingston this year, June 3rd - 6th, with lots planned for "grassroots Lions". Make a point of attending this one: they've really done a great job of trying to have something for everyone.

Other District A Conventions, (eight of them) , are mostly in April, with one in May ( A-9).

All in all, it's a busy time: hope you're thinking ahead, and looking forward to the promise of Spring, and all the great things you'll be able to accomplish now through to next year's Lions Projects.

All the best. Have a great month ahead.

Yours in Lionism,

Lion Joyce Harvey
