LIONS CANADA FOUNDATION
  
February 11th 2010 was graduation night for 3 dogs
from District A2 two canine vision dogs and one special skills dog.
In attendance were A2 District Governor Lion Jack Buchner, LFC
director Lion George Hostick, IPDG Lion Al Beamer and many other
lions from District A2.One of the graduating dog went to Kelly
Nesbitt wife of lion Scott Nesbitt from port Dalhousie Lions Club.

SELKIRK AND DISTRICT LIONS CLUB
 
On Tuesday, December 8th
dinner meeting the Selkirk & District Lions Club had a night of
surprises. In the one picture I have enclosed is our District
A-2 Governor, Lion John Buchner from the Long Point Lions Club
inducting a new Lion to our Club, Lion Lorraine Taylor sponsored
by Lion Joanne Dye.
Also, our Immediate Past President,
Lion Darlene Burns was honored by receiving two awards also
presented to her by our A-2 Governor. I have enclosed the
picture of Governor John presenting the "Club Presidents Diamond
Award for 2008-2009".to IPP Lion Darlene. This awards criteria
is for achieving positive net growth for the year ending June 30
2009.
The Governor also presented IPP
Lion Darlene with The "Club President Excellence Award" for the
contribution's made to further enhance the image of the
association.

NIAGARA FALLS WEST END LIONS CLUB
 
The Niagara Falls West End Lions Club held its
first fund raiser on Dec 06th 2009. Santa was on hand to have
pictures taken with your pet. They also had a bake sale and thanks
to all who supported the new club in District A2

TILLSONBURG LIONS CLUB

The Tillsonburgh Lions Club celebrated 85 years of
service in lionism .Pictured above are Lions Dave Beres and Dennis
Harwood being presented with a Melvin Jones Fellowship by PIP Lion Kay
Fukushima. Also during the same evening Lion Bruce Kendrick and Lion
Gord Reynolds were also presented with a Melvin Jones Fellowship by

FABULOUS FENWICK LIONS CLUB
  
On October 03rd 2009 The Fabulous Fenwick Lions
Club celebrated 60 years of service. Pictured above are A2 Governor

Beamer with DG Lion John Buchner presenting Lion Ken Angle with a

Niagara Falls Lions Club

The Niagara Falls Lions Club officially
open their new park. District A2 Governor John Buchner planted the
first Gecko tree at the opening ceremony on September the 12th 2009.

Smithville & District Lions Club
  
The Smithville and District Lions Club held 3 different fundraising
BBQs during the summer to help our local libraries. I have attached
2 versions of the picture where the cheques are being presented to
Catharine Vaughan who is the Chief Librarian of the Smithville
Branch and also CEO of the West Lincoln Public Library Board.
I also have attached a photo of three members of the Smithville and
District Lions Club as they prepare to deliver the empty bins to
each of the local West Lincoln Schools for our Annual Food Drive
which started today. The Lions will pick up the hopefully
over-flowing bins at the end of next week, October 1 and 2, 2009 and
will deliver the food to the local Food Bank, West Lincoln Community
Care. The Lions in the photo are Wayne Young, Murray Packham and
John Ganann.

JOURNEY FOR SIGHT CAR RALLY
   
The first car rally was a huge success. Over
$6,000.00 were raised . Thank You Lion Mike Detenbeck for a job well
done as the chairman of this event. Picture above are the starting
line; lion Ray Pelletier marshall, Chairman Lion Mike Detenbeck and
DG Lion John Buchner. The best decorated car was won by Jim Marlow
and Amy Wilkinson. Best costume 2nd VDG Lion Bradd Anderson and Nancy
Hostick. The winner of the rally was Lion Pat Miller from the new
club Niagara Falls West End Lion Club and her blind navigator Shelly
Stewart with her guide dog Fozzie. In attendance were Mayor Ted Salci
and MPP Kim Craitor congratulating the winners.

A2 Friendship Youth Camp

District A2 Lions have finished
“dressing” the trailer which all Lions and Lioness Clubs of A2
donated money towards in honor of our “Honorary Youth Exchange” camp
Chairperson Lion Bill Evers.
Seen in the photo are 2 exchange students, Jan from Czech-Republic
and Stefan from Norway.

Chippawa Lions Club

The Chippawa Lions Club hosted 17 Youth exchange
students from District A1 on July 27 2009. Lion Wayne Potter and his
crew took the youth up the Skylown tower then dinner was serve at
the Chippawa Lions Club.
